Under the direction and supervision of the designated Yard Manager, the yard driver is responsible for the effective and accurate performance of all assigned responsibilities including, but not limited to operating company vehicles and ensuring jobsite deliveries are completed within scheduled time. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Load and unload products for deliveries. Make deliveries and ensure product arrives undamaged. Operate vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Perform job duties within our safety guidelines. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Lifting and managing heavy objects, Working in all weather conditions (drivers must be prepared to work in hot and cold temperatures). Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you. Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the yard and other general duties while not driving. MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions. Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures. Ability to lift and/or pull up to 50lbs. Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods. Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced construction environment. Complete mandatory background check and drug screening. Must complete all DOT driver qualification documents. Complete medical exams; including DOT drug/alcohol testing.
