Speech Pathologist Assistant PRN

We are hiring Speech Pathologist Assistants for our South Dallas, Duncanville, and Desoto, TX locations. As a Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide coordinated speech therapy assistance to patients of all age groups. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy and a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Administer speech therapy treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
• Adhere to infection control practices and standard precautions during patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments that align with education and competencies to care for patients.
• Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and team members.
• Maintain continuing education requirements to ensure professional growth and competency.
• Promote compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payer requirements through education and coaching.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy. One year of experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric and Home Health experience preferred.
• Certifications: Current Texas State License to practice speech therapy.
• Other Skills: I have strong therapy skills based on the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory standards and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Other Requirements: Ability to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work, including exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
