Job Description

Healthcare Recruiters seeks a remote on-call Social Worker (ASW / LCSW) for our client in the Bay area. Need to live in CA and preferably in the Bay area for future onsite work. This position will provide clinical case management and after-hours support, ensuring continuity of care outside regular working hours. Seeking a compassionate, skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative and flexible environment. Clinical supervision for ASWs is available for those carrying a caseload. Our client is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides housing and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These disabilities include Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury, autism, and other cognitive and physical impairments. This creative, dynamic team is committed to making a positive impact in the developmentally disabled community. 50 per shift / $350 per week for on-call coverage Additional Pay 55 / hour, billed in 15-minute increments for calls or work completed during on-call hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to after-hours calls from home providers during evenings, weekends, and holidays; calls are remote with no in-person care required. Provide clinical case management services on a per diem basis, including home visits, assessments, care coordination, mediation, and crisis intervention, depending on availability. Support individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers through trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. Document interactions and maintain case records in compliance with agency and legal standards. Stay informed about community resources and referral networks related to mental health and behavioral health services. Participate in continuing education and clinical supervision (if eligible).

REQUIREMENTS

Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university (MSW). 3+ years of customer service or human services experience, preferably within a behavioral health or developmental disability setting. Proficient in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and risk assessment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality. Familiarity with ethical standards and regulatory compliance in behavioral health. Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom). Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally for home visits when needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of regional center systems and community-based mental health services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE

This is a remote, on-call role with flexibility for per diem case management work. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on on-call rotation. Optional clinical supervision for those pursuing LCSW licensure. Some community-based home visits may be required, depending on assigned cases and availability.
