Overview

Our Retail team is looking for a highly-motivated, engaging, and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team on a Full Time or Part Time basis!

 

The Retail Associate is responsible for assisting guests and selling merchandise in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the resort’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding customer service and drive financial profitability. The Retail Sales Associate will ensure all operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards are followed. This position will also be responsible for maintaining the merchandising standards, monitoring and restocking of inventory, and upkeeping cleanliness of the resort gift shop throughout the shift. This role may also flex to working in the Golf Pro Shop during the Golf season.

 

The key objective of this position is to engage with and provide an exemplary service experience for guests while maintaining a clean and well-organized retail outlet that drives financial profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Customer Experience

  • Greets all guests warmly upon arrival
  • Offers assistance to makes sure the client experience is the number one priority throughout the visit
  • Bids a kind farewell to all customers
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude at all times, particularly in regards to punctuality, appearance, general manner and responsibility
  • Initiates genuine conversation to engage with the customer in a personalized way where all customers feel welcome, heard, and valued
  • Is thoroughly knowledgeable of the brands we carry and can effectively communicate with customers the details, features, and benefits of a product while making best recommendations based on the customer’s needs
  • Resolves customer issues and/or complaints resulting in a highly satisfied client with the support of management if necessary
  • Ensure policies are followed in all point-of-sale operations
  • Communicates and shares information on all in-store promotions, trunk shows, and retail events

 

Floor & Merchandise Management

  • Maintains all store merchandising standards 
  • Responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness in all areas of the store
  • Monitors floor stock, checks inventory for restock needs, and replenishes the floor from backstock as sales demand
  • Maintains awareness of all running promotions and new product placement to best guide customers through their shopping experience
  • Ensures implementation of best practices for loss prevention
  • Performs routine quarterly inventory counts and as assigned
  • Completes tasks as assigned

 

Community & Culture

  • Act as liaison with local communities to generate word of mouth marketing 
  • Build relationships with guests, repeat visitors, and local community members.
  • Live and promote the Equinox culture and inspire other staff to have fun at work.

Responsibilities

Qualifications We Seek

  • At least one year in a customer service role preferred. Experience in luxury retail and hospitality preferred
  • Passion for fashion, retail, and making an impact on people
  • Excellent team player paired with strong drive to take initiative when working independently
  • Ability to multitasks in a fast-paced setting while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Approachable and friendly while maintaining professionalism.
  • Proven work ethic with utmost integrity and humility
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
