Material Handler

Location: Portage, MI (4169 Commercial Avenue) Schedule: Full Time, MondayFriday (Day Shift) Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour (OT after 40 hours) Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension) Start Date: January 26, 2026

What Will You Do?

As a Material Handler, you will complete daily warehouse tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. You'll play a key role in packing customer orders, receiving materials, and processing shipments to meet same-day deadlines. Your day-to-day will include:

• Picking products from storage areas and preparing them for shipment
• Checking orders for accuracy and packing products
• Using computer systems to process orders and inventory
• Assisting team members and performing general warehousing activities during slow periods (cleaning, organizing, restocking, etc.)
• Completing cycle counts, sorting products, and contributing to a clean, organized work environment

How Will You Get Here?

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
• Positive attitude and relationship-building capabilities
• Previous experience in warehouse operations

Preferred:

• Forklift operator's license

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to read computerized packing lists and manage product shipments
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move between order processing stations, and lift up to 50 lbs
