HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for both residential and commercial clients. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities: - HVAC System Installation: Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, and servicing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including electrical components, motors, compressors, and ductwork, ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Communicate with clients to assess their HVAC needs, provide system recommendations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service requests, parts used, labor, and other relevant details related to service jobs.
- Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols and local, state, and federal codes while performing work.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with new technologies, tools, and industry standards to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience: - HVAC Certification: Valid HVAC certification and/or licensing required.
- Proven Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems, troubleshooting techniques, and system design.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with customers and team members.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications: - EPA Certification (Type I and II) or Universal Certification.
- Experience with smart thermostats, ductless systems, and other advanced HVAC technologies.
- Knowledge of local building codes and HVAC regulations.
- Familiarity with HVAC maintenance and repair software or apps.
- Ability to service oil fired units a plus!
