A leading international logistics and freight forwarding company is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join its customs brokerage team in the Philadelphia area . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in import compliance and U.S. Customs processes who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs entries for air and ocean import shipments
• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure proper duty/tax calculation
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and internal departments to resolve documentation or compliance issues
• Monitor shipment status to ensure smooth clearance and delivery
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and trade compliance standards

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
• Strong understanding of HTS classification and U.S. import regulations
• Familiarity with systems like ACE, ABI, and standard logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes)
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Customs Broker License a plus, but not required
