Azure Data Engineer | Power Apps & Integration Focus

Location: Remote (US-based) On Premise, Hybrid or Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Clearance: T4 Public Trust may be required (Public Sector or Commercial experience welcome)

Our client has a need for a skilled Azure Data Engineer to support Power Apps and broader Power Platform development initiatives. This role is focused on enabling deep integrations, reliable data access, and scalable automation across the Microsoft ecosystem.

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who thrives on connecting systems, optimizing data pipelines, and empowering low-code developers through backend excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Azure-based data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Build secure and scalable data integrations between Power Apps, Dataverse, and external systems
• Support Power Apps development teams by ensuring clean, performant, and governed data access
• Develop and manage custom connectors and REST API integrations to support Power Apps functionality
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ALM strategies for Power Platform using Azure DevOps
• Configure and monitor Power Platform dataflows, refresh schedules, and solution lifecycle processes
• Ensure reliable integration with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Blob Storage, and other cloud-native services
• Apply governance controls (RBAC, DLP policies, security roles) across environments
• Use Azure Functions and Logic Apps to automate cross-platform workflows and integrations
• Troubleshoot integration, data sync, and performance issues across the full Power Platform stack

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and building production-grade data pipelines
• Experience integrating Power Apps with Dataverse and external APIs
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Azure SQL and cloud storage services
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and CI/CD workflows for Power Platform solutions
• Working knowledge of Power Platform ALM and environment lifecycle strategies
• Experience with API authentication, connector development, and system interoperability
• Familiarity with data governance, RBAC, and enterprise security frameworks
• Demonstrated success in supporting Power Apps or low-code developer teams
• Strong scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.) and automation mindset
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or Power Platform Developer Associate
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional DevOps environments
• Background in enterprise integration, app modernization, or API development
